Dr Brendon Dellar is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and a Adjunct Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Curtin University. He is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP) and has a background in Health Psychology with an interest in complimenting medical specialists with concurrent psychological therapies based on sustained and meaningful improvement in such conditions.
Dr Dellar’s practice is grounded in evidence-based therapies, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with general practitioners, psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide comprehensive care for people experiencing trauma-related difficulties, grief, depression, anxiety and substance use problems.
His areas of interest are:
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related conditions
• Co-occurring trauma, addiction, mood disorders and chronic pain
• Obsessive–compulsive and related disorders
• Dissociative symptoms and disorders in the context of trauma
• Psychosomatic presentations and the interaction of physical and psychological symptoms
